Dear Colleagues Reprappers,
When disassembling my Prusa I3 to build a new Wilson II reprap 1 saw that the connector for the 5 amps fuse had melted. This supriced me because the 11 amps was in perfect working order. The load which goes through the 11 amps with a mk2 heatbed should be greater than the load using a e3d hotend but I’m not an electrical engineer so I can be mistaken.
I’ve unsoldered the connector and will replace it with Insulated Terminal/Crimp connectors (which I hope can handle the load).
Does anyone have an idea why the 5amps connector melted.
regards,
Paul
