Hi, I'm not a total newbie, but not well versed in electronics. I have a number of questions I'll post as seperate discussions. I appreciate any help or advice. Thank you in advance!

Trying to set up a large format cartesian printer. Arduino Due with Radds and V2 extension board, 24v power supply, Three z axis steppers, two on the right side, one on the left. I'm planning to use the bl touch as a z min endstop/bed leveling probe. I soldered pins to the Radds servo area as shown in attachment in yellow and have the bl touch wired as per above attachment. I've read here: [forums.reprap.org] that it requires 5v from an outside(not due) power source(green area below).
1. If this is true, what is the best solution? Should I use a 12v to 5v step down converter? Can I put a pin on that "Servo +5V in" from converter, and not harm the Due? Is there configuration to do in Repetier? I can't find very much information on this area of the Radds board. I do have a 12v rail available.
