guys, I have just blown one of my stepper drivers on the ramps 1.4. The printer would get disconnected suddenly after a print session and i would not be able to reconnect to it. I identified a faulty stepper driver that was short circuiting the ramp and when i removed it i was able to re establish connection. I have tried shielding the circuit boards with esd antistatic shielding bags with a metallised coating to protect the components but it does not help. The new stepper driver has recently started to act up . It momentarily disconnects before reconnecting again. Is there any way to protect these circuit boards from static discharge?
