Hi all,
I put his topic first in the repetier software, but I'm not sure where it exacly belongs...
I'm a newbee in this all and I have been putting a extruder on top of my unused Roland engraver. To steer it I'm using the ramps 1.4 with repetier. I was very happy to see it running!
Now, for some reason, I find it inpossible to adjust the calibration. The distanced the machine runs is much less (1/2) than commanded. I tried raising the 'step_per_mm' in steps to 2000 (standard 80), but it seems like there is a max value that it supports?? EDIT: I discovered that any setting from 20-2000 gives the same result. What am I missing? I know that some parameters are written in the eeprom Are these amongst those, and are they overwritten when the arduino software performs an upload?
When I take of the jumpers to have less steps, the distance travelled is better, but steps are missing.
I can nowhere detect the type of stepper, but they look equal to the one of the extuder, which runs the good distance. Could it be the stepper need a higher voltage?
Does somebody know about this max on the repetier firmware? Should I try a different one?
Some help would be very much appreciated.
