Hi there!
Since a few months, I've happily been busy with building my first 3D printer. At long last, the mechanics and most of the electronics are finished. Now I'm trying to get the printer to start with the real stuff: printing...
To do this, I downloaded the Marlin firmware and pronterface similar to what is stated on Reprap Prusa Mendel Dev kit. Also, I used the excellent test code for the RAMPS 1.4 board from RepRap.
The test code works like a charm. I can move all three axes up/down/left/right without any issue. Having done that, I thought it would be trivial to port the 3D printer to the real Marlin Firmware, using Pronterface as an interface.
Sadly, when I try the Pronterface, and click the resp. buttons to go up/down/left/right, only occasionally my printer reacts. Sometimes when I click the +/-10 step, I hear a high pitch sound, but nothing happens. Also for the small steps, not much seems to happen.
As I did not yet install the end-stops, I cannot test the home button yet.
Any ideas what I should be doing to get this printer to work with the Pronterface?
Thanks!
