Hola,
So i've been working on my printer off and on,as parts come in, and it's been going ok.
The other day though, the x and y end stop started doing something odd.
When they're flipped, the seem to cut power to the whole arduino board. Almost like a breaker is being thrown.
I thought it was weird but it didn't appear to be doing any damage so I hooked the 12 volt supply up. With the 12 volt supply hooked up, it caused something to start smoking when it was tripped.
I'm thinking it was one of my capacitors, since there's no obvious scorch marks on the PCB. IF i don't include endstops in the wiring, the computer still recognizes the Arduino mega board, but with Endstops, it can't access the com-port, so I think something is definitely dead.
I'm using Marlin.
I have a Arduino Mega 2560 board with the motor shield board.
I'm using 1.4 sainsmart RAMPS, and NEMA17 stepper motors.
Advice and thoughts welcome.
