Hello,
Here is my second question of the day. :)
Is there any way to turn off LCD display?
I know some people prefer printing off SD card, to eliminiate another point of failure (PC). However, I just like controlling things from my computure, so I always have my PC connected to the RAMPS on my printer via USB.
One thing I don't like about this setup is that even when the PSU is turned off, the RAMPS/LCD unit is still powered via USB, and the LCD is kept on all the time.
Pulling USB cable is a hassle because the connectors are located in the back. I think there are some USB cables with power switch, but they are not too cheap and a lot of people complain they don't last long.
So, I wonder if there's a way to turn off the display to prevent the pixels from getting burned out. Or, is there some kind of screensaver? :) If not completely turnning off the display, would it at least be possible to dim it out, like set the brightness/contrast the lowest level?
